Parent Forum
The Parent Forums are an initiative established to inform and engage parents or carers about the services and support available for children and young people with a disability and to provide an opportunity to listen to the voices of their families.
The information presented and the knowledge gained through shared discussions, table talk and workshops with the parents and carers further develop and help inform policy and future direction. The questions raised and topics requested are ongoing, informative and challenging. This page has been established so parents can access the wide range of material that have been created through the forums and linked to the Parent Forum summary report including keynote PowerPoints, video presentations and summaries of the day’s activities.

Next Event
When: Wednesday 8 May 2024, 10 – 11.00am
Where: SIES, 72a Marlborough Street, Henley Beach
At this session we will provide:
- A more detailed update on the progress toward developing a vision and where we are up to in responding to the Royal Commission; and
- An initial summary of the survey (see below) results
The Support and Inclusion Reform Team is aiming to work collaboratively to develop a distinctive long-term vision for our learners with disabilities that can provide the starting point for developing a practical program of reform, once the government releases its public response to the Disability Royal Commission (DRC) mid-year. We are consulting through a range of channels, and we would value your input via a survey. The survey will be open from 4 April to 19 April 2024 and we very much value your thoughts.
You are invited to stay for morning tea to connect with the presenters and SIES Senior Advisors will also be available.
